About Robert Bennett Lea III
Robert was a beloved husband, father, and leader in the rodeo community. Born in 1984, he grew up in the foothills of Lemon Cove and Visalia, California, where he developed a strong work ethic and a love for rodeo. After marrying Tami in 2006, Robert and his family made their home in Elderwood, California, where they transformed their property into Cottonwood Barn, a popular wedding venue among locals. The barn also features a roping arena, which became a central hub for the local rodeo community.
Robert served as CJCA’s president and, under his leadership, helped grow the association into California’s largest junior rodeo association. Known for his kindness, dedication, and infectious smile, Robert made an unforgettable impact on contestants, families, and friends.
Robert’s legacy is honored through this memorial rodeo, where his love for rodeo and commitment to the CJCA family lives on.
