Membership Requirements

​

​Membership Fees:

Membership is for one calendar year and must be renewed annually. For the 2025/2026 season, membership covers all rodeos from November 2025 through June 2026, aligning with our season start and end dates. The membership fee is $120 per contestant, due in full before entering any rodeo for the season. 

 

Required Documents:​​

After completing the membership application, you’ll need to submit a copy of your child’s birth certificate for age verification unless it’s already on file from past years. Please email birth certificates to secretary@cjcajrrodeo.org.

  • ​2025–2026 Member List:

Review the current 2025–26 Member List (PDF) to confirm we have your child’s birth certificate on file.
If your child’s name does not have a checkmark, please email a copy of their birth certificate to secretary@cjcajrrodeo.org.

 

Age Limits:​

For the 2025/2026 season, members cannot be older than 19 as of January 1, 2026. Contestants’ age on this date determines their age group for the season. Contestants may move up to an older age group for all events but cannot switch age groups mid-season or move to a younger age group.

 

Member Eligibility:

To be a member in good standing, contestants must pay their membership fee, fulfill sponsorship requirements, and complete any volunteer obligations.

Eligibility Requirements for Finals & Year-End Awards

​Finals Eligibility:

To qualify for the CJCA Finals Rodeo, you must be a member in good standing. This includes having paid your membership fee and meeting the $200 sponsorship requirement. Additionally, contestants must participate in at least half of the season’s rodeos plus one for each event they plan to compete in at the finals.

 

Year-End Awards:​​

To be eligible for year-end awards, contestants must fulfill all finals eligibility requirements and complete a Volunteer Requirement: CJCA members and/or their parent or guardian must volunteer a minimum of five times in five different rodeo events or roles during the season. Additionally, they must compete in the finals for each event in which they want to qualify for year-end awards.

Sponsorship Requirements

​Finals Eligibility:

Each contestant must secure a minimum of $200 in sponsorships to be eligible to participate in the CJCA Finals Rodeo and to qualify for year-end awards. Sponsorships for the 2025/2026 season are due by March 1, 2026. Both online sponsorship forms and printable forms will be available here​
