Become a CJCA Member! 


CJCA is one of California's top junior rodeo associations, located in the Central Valley with contestants coming to compete at our rodeos from throughout California.  The CJCA offers opportunities for the youth of the rodeo industry to improve their skills each year through rodeo arena action.  We award over $80,000 in year-end awards to members at the end of rodeo season, and have four age divisions with a variety of age-appropriate rodeo events! 

Day Memberships:  Day memberships are available for $45 per rodeo per contestant. Day members are NOT eligible to accumulate points towards year-end awards, and not are eligible to enter the CJCA Finals Rodeo.

Membership Requirements

  • Membership Fees: Membership is for one calendar year, and must be renewed each year. Annual membership fees are $100 per contestant, and must be paid in full prior to entering the first rodeo of the season. 

  • Required Documents: When completing the Membership application, you'll be required to submit a copy of your child's birth certificate for age verification.  A Release of Liability will also need to be completed.  

  • Age Limits: Members cannot be older than 19 by January 1, 2024 for the 2024 season. The contestant's age on January 1 will determine their age group.  A contestant can move up to an older age group in all events, but cannot change during the rodeo season, and cannot move down to a younger age group.  

  • CJCA Finals Rodeo: Only CJCA members who have fulfilled the membership requirements are allowed to compete at the CJCA Finals Rodeo at the end of the season. 

  • Sponsorship Requirements: Each contestant is required to bring in a minimum of $150 in sponsorships to be eligible to receive year-end awards. Sponsorships for the 2024 Rodeo Season are due by March 1, 2024.  An Online Sponsorship Form and Printable Sponsorship Form are available for members.
