Volunteers Keep CJCA Running
CJCA is a 100% volunteer-run organization—and we mean it! From the Board of Directors to every event helper, it's parents, families, and community members like you who make these rodeos possible.
Whether it’s timing events, resetting barrels, or helping with gates, there’s a place for everyone to get involved. No experience is needed—just a willingness to help and support our youth contestants.

If you’ve ever had an idea for change or improvement, we encourage you to volunteer during the season or run for the board. Nominations for board positions open around the time of the CJCA Finals Rodeo each year.
Volunteer roles include:

Removing ropes from horns at the stripping chute during roping events

Hat runners to pick up contestants' hats that blow off during their runs in the arena
